Dear Thought Provoking Readers, Hello! I am posting today to do my third and final blog post for quite awhile, so I want to make it special. I have been thinking, and I have come across a very hard to answer question, and you can't really find the answers on the internet. So my question is, “ How do Zeus and Aphrodite connect?” So, lets see! Even just by looking at both of the childhoods or births of Zeus and Aphrodite, they have things in common. They both had very mythical childhoods. Zeus had his father eating all of his siblings, and Zeus had to live in a cave with a female goat that took care of him. Not to mention Aphrodite was born from the ganitals of the god Uranus, and rose from a bed of foam on the sea where the body part was thrown. Both very mythical in the sense that those stories could NEVER happen in the real world. Also, Zeus and Aphrodite link together, because Cronus was the one that cut off Uranus’s private parts, so if Cronus didn't do that, than Aphrodite wouldn't have been either born that way, or born in general! Also, Aphrodite might not have the name that she does, because Aphros means “ foam,” referring to how Aphrodite across from a cloud of foam in the sea. during the end of her birth. Lastly, I believe that Zeus and Aphrodite connect in multiple different little ways. Some of those connections are how they both had many affairs, they both had many children, Zeus turned himself into one of Aphrodites symbols, the swan to ravish Leda, Zeus being amorous and Aphrodite being the goddess of fertility, and that Aphrodite was also at one point thought to be the goddess of marriage when also Hera Zeus’s wife and sister is the main god of marriage! Also, both Zeus and Aphrodite are two of the most known Greek gods known! Im very pleased with how much i have learned over the course of a few weeks on Zeus, Aphrodite, and how they connect! I might post again some time soon! Signing off, The “13th” Olympian To see sources, click below! |
