Dear Devoted Readers, This is yes, my last post. I have had a great time telling you all about the mysteries of Zeus, Aphrodite, and how they connect. I have learned many things over the course of writing my posts, and I hope you have too! My first factual post included how Aphrodite rose from a cloud of foam of the private body parts of Uranus, cut off by Cronus, his son. For my second post I talked about the childhood of Zeus, his siblings in his slightly later life, and his father. I also talked about how Zeus’s mother, Rhea, swaddled up a rock in clothes in disguise of Zeus for his either to eat, and that later-on in his life, Zeus dethroned Cronus and became king of the Titans. And for my third post I talked about how Zeus and Aphrodite connect ,being so widely known, having very mystical childhoods, having many affairs, and that if Zeus’s dad weren't a character or god, or anything, Aphrodite may have not been born the way she was, named what she was, or anything like that! I have found that the research I have done on Zeus and Aphrodite is important because then you have learned about one of the things Greeks worshipped, what they thought certain natural occurrences were based off of the gods that they believed in! For example, when lightning struck, they thought Zeus was angry! My research relates to our world today because we have stories like the Ancient Greeks did, just with different characters! Also, we have made up figures that come on holidays to supposedly do something specific. For example, how the Easter Bunny puts out Easter Eggs, or how bad spirits are supposed to come on Halloween that the kids scare away with their scary costumes! So really, Ancient Greek Gods relate to our world today because we both have made up characters that do certain acts to people on earth, and a lot of people on earth these days and in the Ancient Times, believe and believed in them! Well, I have had a great time exploring the many wonders of Zeus and Aphrodite with all of you, and I hope you have all learned something over the past few weeks! As this being my final post for a long time, I wish all of my readers a great next couple of months! Goodbye!

Zeus's Childhood Story : What happened between Zeus, his siblings, and his father, Cronus?3/22/2015
Hello history loving Bloggers! Today I am going to share with all of you what I have learned about Zeus’s early childhood. So really, my question was specifically, “What happened between Zeus, his siblings, and his dad, Cronus during Zeus’s early stages of life?” Well, here is what I figured out! Zeus’s father, Cronus had found that one of his children was going to overthrow him. So, he wanted to make sure that one of his children couldn't possibly overthrow him, therefore he then tried to swallow all of his children the very second they were born! (He swallowed some of them.) But, Zeus’s mother, Rhea didn’t want Zeus to be eaten, so she hid young Zeus in a cave on Crete, and swaddled a stone to make it look like a baby, and gave that to Cronus instead. While in the cave, Zeus was nursed by a nymph (female goat), by the name of Amalthaea, and grew up by her side. He was also guarded by Curetes, (young soldiers) as he grew to be a man. Even When he was a baby, they clashed their weapons against each other to obscure the sound of his crys. Once Zeus was a full grown man, he led a revolt against the Titans, and overthrew his father Cronus, (maybe with the help of his brothers, Hades, and Poseidon.) So in the end one of Cronus’s children DID, overthrow him. Well, there is the story of Zeus’s childhood, what happened between himself, his siblings, and his father, Cronus. Please check out my sources below for the information I collected to write this post! -The “13th” Olympian Hello God Loving Bloggers! I am so very glad to be posting once again! I really encourage that you bloggers comment on my posts, and comment on what questions you might have, or anything like that! I have been searching for some information about a question I have, that I have been just thinking about for days! My question is, "How was Aphrodite born?" Before researching, I really only knew that Aphrodite's birth involved thing getting thrown in the ocean, and really didn't know anything else. So, lets see what I have learned AFTER, I researched the start of Aphrodite's life. What I have learned about the birth of Aphrodite, was that Aphrodite was born when Cronus cut off Uranus genitals, and chucked them into the ocean. Once the body part fell into the lifeless water, it started to stir around Uranus and Cronus, creating a beautiful goddess (Aphrodite), rising on a cloud of foam atop the ocean. This is one of many of the story's of Aphrodite's birth, and one of the most famous. Even seconds after her birth, Aphrodite was admired by many if not all of the male gods, by her irresistible beauty. Thank you all so very much for looking at my blog, and I hope that you will comment on this post, or one of the other ones! Please also comment if you have any questions, or anything like that!
